Safety is of the utmost importance. Our top priority is the well-being of all our guests, including children. To ensure safety and enjoyment for everyone, the following rules and guidelines apply:
2.1. The ‘Big Five’
- The Big Five (Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, Elephant, and Rhino) are considered high-profile game and can be potentially dangerous. Our experienced guides and staff are highly trained in wildlife safety and will always prioritize your family’s safety during safari activities.
2.2. Safari Drives
- Children on Game Drives
Your guide and camp manager will discuss your family’s expectations and preferences for the safari drives. Children on game drives will always be at the discretion of the Camp Manager and Head Guide. They reserve the right to refuse game drives for children if they assess that the child may be too restless, disruptive, or may not have the emotional capacity to engage in high-profile sightings or the experience of a safari. - Children Under 6 Years
As a rule, children under the age of 6 will not be allowed on game drives in open vehicles. This is due to safety concerns, as younger children may have difficulty maintaining focus during wildlife sightings or could pose a safety risk during encounters with larger animals.
2.3. Children Below Age 12
- Children under the age of 12 are restricted from participating in walking safaris and bush camping for their own safety. These activities can be physically demanding and involve potential exposure to wild animals, which may not be suitable for younger children.
2.4. Liability
- Parents and guardians are fully responsible for the safety and well-being of their children during their stay. All children stay at their parent(s) or guardian(s) own risk.
We aim to offer an unforgettable and enriching experience for families. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests.
